Remember this is about what looks good to YOU. What feels best? What isn’t for you? Just follow your gut and add in one or two to start. In a world where being healthy is looking more and more stressful we all need to start from a place of love and care for ourselves.
Journaling: spend 5-15 minutes every morning free writing what’s on your mind and setting an intention for the day. My favorite is gratitude journaling! It can change any mood fast.
Morning Meditation: Start with one minute and build your way up. You might love it, and you’ll likely feel massive shifts.
Aligned Exercise: Find exercise that’s truly enjoyable, invigorating, and relaxing for you. Practice regularly if not everyday.
Massage: Ask your partner or a good friend to give you a shoulder massage, or even make an appointment with a masseuse.
Bath: Take a hot bath a few times a week to pamper yourself and engage the relaxation response in your nervous system.
Hot Towel Scrub: Fill your sink with hot water, dip a washcloth in, wring it out, and scrub your body firmly in gentle circles. Always make circles toward our heart and go lightly near sensitive areas.
Dry Brushing: Using a natural bristle brush, start at your feet and brush dry skin in quick upward motions. This greatly improves circulation and drains lymphatic fluid (the root of water retention).
Oil Massage: Before you shower, massage your entire body with coconut oil to protect your skin from the drying and draining effects of hot water.
Pampering: Schedule manicures, pedicures, hair appointments, facials, or whatever you love for the next six months – you’ll feel like a new woman!
Closet Purging: Invite a friend over and go through your closet and drawers together.
Being more Mindful of the food we put into our bodies is also a form of self care. Now don’t worry, I’m not here to tell you what your doing wrong or that you need to diet lol. I did want to share with you some of the BEST foods to support Women’s health.
Sweet Potatoes , Kale, Broccoli, Cabbage, Sprouts, Mushrooms, Garlic, Eggs, Salmon, Oysters, Organic unsweet yogurt, Beans, Quinoa, Flax seeds, Chia Seeds, Olive Oil, Coconut oil, Blueberries, Figs, Pears, Lemons, Dark Chocolate (UM yes please! lol), Red Wine! (Your welcome)
If we don’t LOVE what we are doing we wont do it. Thats why so many diets and workout plans don’t work, so ENJOY the journey.
LOVE, Coach Kathryn K.
