When the High Fades: Staying Grounded in Your Truth After a Spiritual Peak

This past weekend, I had the honor of facilitating SOMA Breathwork for four days straight at FloydFest — a celebration of music, nature, and soul. It was magical. The energy, the breath, the transformation — all of it reminded me why I do this work.
And yet… coming home wasn’t easy.
Have you ever felt like you're finally stepping into the version of you that you've known you were meant to be — only to be met, almost immediately, with self-doubt, comparison, and frustration?
That’s where I’ve been these past few days. High on purpose. Low on proof.I want to share what’s been coming up for me — and maybe for you too.
The Duality of Becoming
There’s a certain kind of emotional whiplash that happens when you move through fear, show up in your full power, and then return to a world that doesn’t yet reflect the magnitude of your inner shift.
At FloydFest, I was the woman I’ve always wanted to be. Confident. Intuitive. Fully embodied. But coming back, I noticed that old patterns were waiting at the door like shadows — whispering:
“Why haven’t more people signed up for your next workshop?”
“Why isn’t your email list growing faster?”
“Why don’t you feel further along?”
The mind wants metrics. The soul wants presence. And in this in-between space, both parts of me are learning how to co-exist.
The Truth I’m Reclaiming
I’m learning — again — that the external world can’t always keep up with internal expansion. That the moment you shift energetically, your outer reality begins to rearrange… but it takes time.
So instead of chasing results, I’m practicing something deeper:
💫 Feeling as if it’s already mine.
💫 Acting from a place of embodiment.
💫 Trusting that my energy is the magnet.
💫 Moving with certianty that this is meant for me.
Because here's the truth: You don’t get to see the flowers the same day you plant the seeds. But that doesn’t mean they’re not growing.
If You’re Feeling This Too…
If you’ve been riding the high of alignment and now find yourself in a dip — comparing, doubting, questioning — I want you to know this:
You are not doing it wrong. You are integrating.
And during integration, the most powerful thing you can do is ground back into yourself. Here are a few tools that have been helping me lately:
🌀 Get out of the head: You cannot solve energetic problems from the mind. Move your body. Breathe deeply. Shake it out.
🍵 Sip something warm: A hot herbal tea can help signal to your nervous system that it’s safe to soften.
🌿 Put your bare feet on the earth: Let the ground hold you.
🕯️ Light a candle and affirm: “I am already her. I trust in divine timing.”
🎵 Play your anchor song: You know the one. The track that makes you feel like a goddess rising.
💨 Do a round of breathwork: Even just three rounds of a SOMA 4:8 rhythm, with an inhale through the nose and a slow exhale through the mouth; can reset your whole being.
You’re Not Alone — And There’s More Coming
This month, I’ll be hosting FREE mini breath sessions live on Zoom each Thursday night at 6 om in August and a very powerful "Breathe into Bliss: A SOMA Awakening Journey on August 16th at 2 pm in the beautiful Maplewood studios — a chance to reconnect with your breath, your power, and your inner guidance.
Let it be your space to return to the truth:
🌬️ You are whole.
🌬️ You are powerful.
🌬️ You are right on time.
If this resonated, I’d love to hear from you.Hit reply or DM me on Instagram and let me know: What helps you come back to center when the comparison kicks in?
With love through the highs and the lows,
